Manila Water Company, Inc. holds the exclusive right to provide water and used water services to the eastern side of Metro Manila under a Concession Agreement between the Company and Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System(“MWSS”) on Feb 21, 1997. The original term was for a period of 25years to expire in 2022, it was extended by 15years by MWSS and the Philippine Government in 2009, thereby extended to May 2022 to May 2037. The Company provides water treatment, distribution, sewerage and sanitation services to 6 million people in Manila, comprising residential, commercial and industrial customers.
