BlackRock, Inc. is multinational investment management corporation based in New York City. Founded in 1988, BlackRock became the world's largest asset manager as of 2010 after numerous acquisitions including Merrill, Quellos, State Street, and Barclays Global. As of 2014, BlackRock has US$4.401 trillion in assets under management.

BlackRock is independently managed, with no single majority stockholder.

BlackRock Infrastructure Investment Group provides institutional clients with access to Debt and Equity Infrastructure investments, providing investment solutions from a broad and deep suite of infrastructure product offerings and providing investment partnership opportunities.

As of September 30, 2013, the firm had approximately 11,200 employees in 30 countries and a major presence in key global markets, including North and South America, Europe, Asia, Australia and the Middle East and Africa. BlackRock Infrastructure Investment Group has locations in Zurich, London, Dublin and New York.
